PROCESS DESCRIPTION :
The Oxygen generation plants based on the PSA-process
consist of two adsorption towers filled with zeolite
molecular sieve.
Compressed and purified
oil free air is passing the adsorption towers.
Nitrogen is adsorbed
on the zeolite molecular sieve and oxygen
is leaving the tower.
During adsorption in one tower the
second tower is totally regenerated
just by depressurization to ambient pressure. The
Nitrogen enriched off gas is vented.
After about one minute adsorption in one adsorption
tower the process controller is switching over to
the second tower and the first one is regenerated
The oxygen produced reach a purity of 95%
+or- 1%
Oxygen outlet pressure : 3 to 5 bars
